For Anne's Sake (read this blog)

The Sun it's rays are life but also fire it burns our skin and shrivels the grass we sometimes curse it wish it were gone yet we are giddy  to greet it each day we can't live without it that beautiful star the sun

This poem is a nonet. It has nine lines and the first line has nine syllables, the second has eight syllables, and so on. Beach a cerulean horizon and glitter spouting from the sun's rays foamy waves breaking nearby boats drifting off to sea sand between my toes marshmallow clouds spotted shell fishhook sea

I have been trying to write more poetry. My friend has been writing and posting poetry on her blog (you can see it here.  ) and my family has been sharing poems with each other everyday. I have decided to post some of the poems that I have written. I am not the best and I am still learning, so bear with me. House parlor, kitchen, flight of stairs doorknobs, toilets, dining room chairs ceiling fans and sliding glass door living room with hard wood floor our possessions liven up the place legos, paintings, flowers in a vase through the house our pup will roam a house with us is now a home
